John the disciple was called the beloved one, the one whom Jesus loved. It was not that Jesus loved him more than the other disciples. Show God you love him by loving your spouse. Loving your children, your neighbor or the stranger within thy gates. Take the time to celebrate the godly things in your life. Especially before the spirit of it loses it's significance to you. Time plus idleness has a way of losing sacredness to a thing. Our spirits can get so lazy in sin that we eventually won't lift a hand to feed ourselves spiritually. It's the sluggard that puts the fork in their food and then is to weary to bring it to their mouths. Lets take joy in the things that are holy and it will keep our hearts on fire daily. Stud

God wants to be in his rightful place of glory, in our hearts. On the Cross Jesus has done that. Like the Sun God dwells in an unapproachable light. The closer we get to him with our sin the more we are burned up in justice. The farther we stay away we become cold and die in our sins. Through the Gospel Jesus has become the Sun incarate and dwells in us. The problem still with mankind is their sinful heart. It keeps us from being in right relationship with the Sun of Righteou

The holy calling of Christ is unique in that all are called to come near to God. To come close to the consuming fire of relationship with Jesus. The fire of Holy Spirit burns hot against our sinful nature and will either bring you closer or farther away from God. We as Christians cannot force people to go near the consuming presence of God in Christ, only walk beside them and lead by example. He calls out to each one of us to come boldly and know the weighty presence of God.

Poachers will take a life if the price is right. There greed consumes them, the life of an animal is worthless to them. I compare the evil realm to these poachers. They abuse and condemn humanity because of their love for power and control. They are thrilled at the loss of life if the price is right, they want the souls of mankind.
