Lord, you allow rain to fall on the good and the bad. You allow water to grow weeds in our lives, and these weeds if not tended to will spread like wildfire. Adversity is your way of keeping me accountable, trial is what keeps me close to you. If life is great and I feel no need for God, then I would perish in my sins. The message about the cross is nonsense to those who are being destroyed, but it is God's power to us who are being saved. Lord, I see sin destroying so many lives in so many ways.
