Oh To Be Wise

There is false logic in using comparative suffering. Everyone suffers differently and from different perspectives. Christ suffered on the Cross for us not to gloat His Suffering over us to or to compare His Suffering to ourselves. He suffered so He can become acquainted with our sorrows, our griefs, our weaknesses. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins. But He was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. God wanted man to know in Christ that He knows and He cares. Jesus never said a word was like a sheep lead to slaughter. He suffered and died because I have to suffer and die. But because He lives I will live. I compare my sufferings nothing to the joys of salvation to come. Reason with this: we suffer in Christ so that we can glorify Christ when he comes again. Only a changed heart with the Love of Christ inside them could utter such a phrase.
