Oh To Be Wise-Meditations

All humanity is searching for a place or state of bliss, felicity, or delight. To each person paradise means a different thing. To one it's a place of endless indulgence. To another a place of peace and safety. Many look for paradise here on this earth and die trying to find it. Is it more than a place? Is it a state of mind? The thief on the Cross lived in the opposite side of paradise. Much of his life was chaos and tension. Stealing and hurting people to create some kind of paradise for himself. In this life we all want to be famous and live a paradise life. But our sin nature and environment always seems to ruin that for us. We end up in bondage, even worse in judgment. Praise God that on the Cross suffering with us Jesus offered us all paradise. Paradise? Yes Paradise. The thief on the Cross through the miracle of the Holy Spirit opened   his heart to the Gospel. Man it almost seems like magic, but no it's the power of God to save a man hours before dying on a Cross. Before Jesus entered into His Kingdom the thief asked to be remembered. The Kingdom of God is the promised Presence of God coming to earth. A time where children of God will be raised from the dead and enter in the Paradise of God. I think I speak for all believers when I say that paradise is more than place or state of mind. It is God Himself with His People. God with us and God in us. And soon Paradise Himself on Earth as it is in Heaven. Jesus is Paradise.
