Oh To Be Wise Meditations
Guilt consumes me on the inside like the way lye eats away at the flesh. You alone are to be feared. When you are angry, who can't stand before you? Lord if you kept a record of our sins , who could escape being condemned? I will draw near to you Jesus, I know you will draw near to me. I want to clean up my life and purify my heart. I'm done with being double minded and hanging around those who can't make up there mind about you. I desire to wash and clean myself with the blood of Jesus. To remove evil deeds from your sight and to stop thinking evil all the time. I want to do right, seek justice, correct the oppressor, defend the fatherless and the plea for the widow. I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me. I will not allow guilt and shame to eat away at my spirit like bleach to the skin. Jesus has given me a new heart and new spirit within me. I know Lord that those who conceal their sins from you do not prosper. But the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy in Christ. Jesus cleanse my soul and my spirit, my heart, my mind and I will be whiter than snow. I will be cleaner than the strongest of soaps or chemicals physically combined. A sweet smell of righteousness will not come from the outside by bleached works but from the inside of my soul, the aroma of Christ Himself.Â
