Oh To Be Wise Meditations
Oh Lord you said not to live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from your mouth. To not live by desire only but by design. Every good and perfect gift you have given freely to mankind is righteous and holy. But you knew that man's heart is full of sin and it would ruin a good thing through pride and pleasure. That we would over indulge and claim to make something better than what you original had planned for a thing. God's eternal power and character cannot be seen. But from the beginning of creation, God has shown what these are like by all he has made. People have no excuse to manipulate a good thing because God made everything very good and perfect. Think of all the things we take for granted that we have from God that are wonderful from design. Things like water, sunlight, marriage, father, mother, child, and etc. It's an unlimited list of God's perfect wisdom and sovereignty. People know about God, but they don't honor him or even thank him for all his wondrous works. Their thoughts are useless, and their foolish minds are in the deep dark space. People don't worship the glorious and eternal God. Instead, they would rather worship things that they can make and see with there own hands. In the past people would worship idols that are made to look like humans who cannot live forever, and like birds, animals, and reptiles. But today God in Christ is calling us to live under the covering of His Hands. To trust and belive in the things he has made since the foundation of the world. To have faith in the truth of his word and remove no boundary of his design to commit willfull sin. We have new pure desires in Christ that keep the designs of God sacred. Oh Jesus, the just shall live by faith, by faith in you alone, the real Living Word of God.
