Oh To Be Wise Meditations
I have a debt to pay of which I do not owe. An indebtedness to know the King who saved my soul. Those things that profit me I am ready to give up for Christ. Yes truly, and I am ready to give up all things for the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, which is more than anything I can gain in this life. Jesus is my reward, having received a righteousness from him through faith. All my debts and obligations of law were cancelled by the Cross. He erased the charges that were brought against me by the written laws God had established. He took the charges away by nailing them to the cross. You have brought mercy upon me oh God, according to your loving kindness and great compassion, you have blot out my transgressions! I am able now to have the riches of heaven even in difficult seasons of drought and famine in this world. These spiritual riches in heaven are gained through the knowledge of Him, who has the power to come back from the dead. Becoming like him in death, I take with him in his pains to receive the reward of life from the dead. I have received everything I need for life and godliness through Christ. I owe him my life, my heart, my mind, and my strength. I want to spend all eternity paying attention to the lover of my soul. I have a debt to pay of which I do not owe. I gladly will forgive those who cannot repay me, knowing I have been forgiven much.
