Oh To Be Wise Meditations

Oh Lord let the words of my mouth and the continually thoughts of my mind be a burning holy fire for you to dwell in. That as you enter my heart you would walk barefoot and not be exposed to filth and sin. Let my temple be a place of flowing living water, a place of prayer and devotion to you Jesus. Sinful man walks in the mud of sin and leaves treks of dirt behind everywhere they go. Leaving it behind for others to clean or you to deal with. This is why we take off our dirty sandals, our sinful pride, to honor your Presence. You are not like man to leave sin and destruction behind you. No, on the Cross you took on our filthy rags and our crown of thorns. You allowed the dirt and muck of sin, even our spit to be on holy face. You did this so you could walk barefoot in our hearts and minds. You did this to come along side us and clean up our lives. I look forward to the day when the scales of my eyes will be taken off and I will see you face to face Jesus. Being able to walk in your Presence with sandals you have provided for me. This is why we bring our alabaster jar to your feet, crying. We wash your feet with our tears, drying them with our hair, kissing them many times and rubbing them with the perfume from our hearts. You let your feet get dirty with the sin of this world, so that you could walk in our hearts and minds barefoot and all. Let every burning heart be holy ground for Christ to come and walk in.
