Proverbs of a 35 yr old man.

I was once a boy. Closely attached to my mother and my father, I cleaved to them for nurture and knowledge. I enjoyed talking like a child, thinking like a child, and even reasoning as a child. But I was told to become a man and to put my childish ways behind me. To grow in widsom and stature, in favor with God and man. So I set aside my toys, my pride, and my guilty pleasures and chose to walk in maturity. Then I became a man, and I am thankful for the admonition my parents gave me. Even though I am a man now I still feel like a little boy inside. Sometimes when I am by myself I will watch a favorite childhood cartoon. Or maybe eat with my hands and lick my fingers. Also, I make silly sounds for my own amusement. I do not think we ever lose that little boy inside because God wants us to call him Daddy. To become like little children and have a childlike faith in him. Not only are we servants to the most high God, we are his sons and daughters! One day, we will be walking on the shores of heaven with Abba Father. Splashing living water on each other and building sand castles in the sky. I was once a man, but now I am closely attached to my Heavenly Father for nurture and knowledge.
