Oh To Be Wise Meditations

What does it look like when the word of God is not present? The very essential truths that all people live by not being practiced in society. It is like a famine on the land, not a famine for bread or thirst for water, but rather for hearing the words of the LORD. People go to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, But are not able to find it. They may have an abundance of things and seem to lack nothing, but don't realize they are poor, miserable, naked and blind. In there wealth they forgot about morality. They pursued knowledge instead of the wisdom of God. Over time without the word of God society begins to crumble. People's hearts and minds become dry, in a thirsty state of life. Where nothing has purpose and everything is right. Oh if only the word of God was placed back in the heart a city, of a nation. Wisdom would flood the streets again. Parched throats would be able to praise again. Deserted hearts would be revived again and dead minds would open for living water to flow through. Its amazing how the word of God can bring spirit and life to this world. Even in sin and death real righteous living can take place. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is an oasis for thirsty nations and its people. To bring order in chaos the word of God must be respected. it is alive and active able to penetrate the thoughts and attitudes of evertday citizens. The word of God brings peace upon the land allowing peaceable fruit to grow. Lord Jesus, the unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple. I pray for those around the world that are living without the word of God. That they would understand the word of the Lord is right and true. And that rivers of living water would flow from within them and through the land. Therefore, let us get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent, and humbly accept the word planted in us, which can save you and your city.
