Proverbs of a 35 yr old man

Sin is what gives death its sting, and the Law is the power behind sin. But thanks be to God, who gives victory through Jesus Christ! He has put upon himself the full penalty of sin taking away the sting. He has fulfilled the law removing the power of sin over us. What was once a huge shot to the arm of God has become a prick to our hearts. Like a child anticipating a needle to the arm feeling scared of a coming pain. So are we by knowing one day we will die having a fear of death. Jesus has faced sin and death for us and has given us spirit and life. Jesus took the full brunt of the needle so we would only have to feel a small prick. Many times a child cries so hard that they don't even realize the needle has gone in and out. So it is with the child of God. Yes, we are dying daily because of his prick in our hearts. But we are honoring Christ in the fellowship of his suffering. Confident that when we die we are absent from the body and at home with the Lord. By the time we finish crying death will have passed away and new life has begun. He will wipe every tear away, amen. Study Heb. 2:14-15
