Oh To Be Wise Meditations

The peace I feel when I am with Abba Father in secret, is different than when I am in the valley of the shadow of death. When things around me are so unstable and chaos is imminent. I feel disconnected from his presence even though I know he is their watching over my every need. It's like a child learning to ride bike. All of a sudden the child is riding bike by themselves and they feel the pressure of doing it alone. The parent has let go to see how well their child can ride bike by themselves. They are still close enough to pick them up if they fall. Praise God, Jesus is close behind us watching our ever step. He wants us to grow spiritually mature everyday but he still loves for you to call him Abba, Daddy. What a beautiful thing to see when grown children still call there parents Papa or Mama. It's not by flesh and blood we know we are God's children. The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God. And if children, then heirs- heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ. If we are to share in his glory, we must also share in his suffering. Jesus, you carried the Cross and bore our sins. You ask me to bear my Cross even in the valley of the shadow death. Give me the same peace that I feel in peaceful worship when I am in painful trial. You are my living hope and my strong tower in troubled waters. Meditate John 1:12-13
