Only a fool would make a mockery out of sin. To make fun of guilt instead of acknowledging it and seeking reconciliation. Foolish people don't care if they sin, but good people want to be forgiven. By asking for forgiveness and receiving Christ you are making atonement for your sins.The Lord mocks the mockers but is gracious to the humble. He has no use for conceited people, but shows favor to the meek. Imagine this: even if you were poor in the days of Israels temple. God honored the confession of guilt. He said to the people to bring their offerings no matter if you were rich or poor. Because it's your heart that needs the sacrifice, and its God's name that deserves the honor and respect. Let's please our Lord and confess our sins to him. Jesus is faithful and just to forgive us of all our sins.
