Oh To Be Wise Meditations

You are not a God who is pleased with wrongdoing; you allow no evil in your presence. Lord, you take no pleasure in wickedness; you cannot tolerate the sins of the wicked. The Lord is upright, and there is no unrighteousness found in him. I am shocked by the patience of our great God, how he allows suffering for a time and evil to prosper. Look at the proud, they are puffed up because they trust in themselves. Not realizing that their ways are crooked and without the wisdom of God they are doomed to sin and death. No matter how well a person is doing, life is mysterious. You never know when your foolishness will catch up with you, or just a series of random events alter your life. The closer we live in the wisdom of God and his ideals for our lives, the more success will we enjoy on this earth. The righteous will live by their faithfulness to God. The righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith, lets not shrink back but give the Lord his hearts pleasure which is to pursue him. Have complete confidence in the gospel; it is God's power to save all who believe, first the Jews and also the Gentiles. Only a wicked and adulterous generation demands a sign to do what is right. But children of faith trust in God no matter the circumstance. We do not cave into popular opinion if it goes against the wisdom of God. His Word is tested and true, an anchor for our wild desires. Let us not veer off into open deeps waters where we cannot be still. We must find hold on to strong ground and not be tossed about by the waves of culture. Jesus, you are the anchor for my soul and the winds to my sail. Keep me in your light and protect my heart from darkness. Meditate Prov. 10:7
