Oh To Be Wise Meditations
This is hard to fathom but there many people that hate God and his righteousness. The desires of the world are different from the desires of righteousness. What is funny to the world is not funny to God. What is important to the world is not important to God. Jesus came to the world he created and it did not know him. Many hated message of the Gospel and still do today. Christ has done things no one else has ever done. If people had not seen him do these things, they would not be guilty. But because many did see him do these miraculous things, they still hate him and the Father as well. Blessed is the one who listens to Christ, watching and waiting daily at the gates of his heart. For whoever finds him finds life and obtains favor from the Lord, but he who fails to find him injures himself; all who hate him love death. This is the verdict: The light has come into the world, and people who do evil things are judged guilty because they love the dark more than the light. People who do evil hate the light and won't come to the light, because it clearly shows what they have done. But people who do what is true come to the light so that the things they do for God may be clearly seen. Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered, And let those who hate Him flee before Him. When He sharpens his flashing sword, and his hand takes hold of justice. He will render vengeance on his adversaries, and He will repay those who hate him. For with fire and with his sword the Lord will execute judgment on all people, and many will be those slain by the Lord. Let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream! Turn from evil and do good; then you will dwell in the land forever. For the Lord loves the just and will not forsake his faithful ones. Wrongdoers will be completely destroyed; the seed of the wicked will be cut off. The righteous will inherit the land and dwell in it forever.
