Oh To Be Wise Meditations

Humans wither like grass, and their glory fades like wild flowers. Grass dries up, and flowers fall to the ground. The word of the Lord though endures forever. And this word is the gospel that as been proclaimed to us. Heaven and Earth will pass away, but the word of God will never pass away. Rain and snow fall from the sky. But they do not return without watering the earth. This water produces seeds to plant and grain to eat. That's how it is with the word of God. His word does not return to him without doing everything he sends it to do. God is not a man, that he might lie, or a son of man, that he might change his mind. Does he speak and not act, or promise and not fulfill? His teaching fall like drops of rain and form on the earth like dew. We must let his living word fall on our hearts like showers on young plants, like gentle rain on tender grass. The word of God is life to all mainkind, without it we are slowly perishing. Meditate on the livig word deep in the roots of your mind. Holy Spirit will grow you into eternal life. God has a plan from before the foundation of the world. He declares the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done. His counsel shall stand and he will do all he has intended. Why should we continue to fight the very word that gives us life? Lord, come into my life and help me to walk out your word. To walk in wisdom and in truth like everything else you have created. I will not be like sinful man that curses the very hand that feeds him. Your Living Word, Christ in me, is a miracle! Like rain on the ground, let your word refresh and sustain my soul! Meditate Is. 25:1
