Proverbs of a 35 yr old man

A young man befriended a beggar near his home. They built a great relationship sharing about each other's lives. The beggar found out that this young man's father owned an art gallery, and was always looking for new paintings. He asked the son if he could draw a portrait of him to show how well he himself could draw. The son agreed and when the drawing was done he loved it. It was a simple drawing, nothing really to be admired but was touched his friend made it for him. As time when on, the beggar noticed he did not see this young man anymore. He missed his young friend and wondered what happened to him. He later found out that the young man had died, and not too soon after the father had died as well. The beggar was saddened by these horrible events and found out that the father's art gallery was being auctioned. He went the day of to pay his respects and wondered if his picture that he drew of the son was there. Before the large auction started it was announced that a certain portrait was to be auctioned before the others. It was the simple portrait the beggar drew of the son. The beggar was so happy to see that the son kept his picture all these years and would love to get it back for his memory. No one put a bid on this simple portrait. It had no amazing craft or color, just a drawing of the father's son. The beggar bid all he had and easily bought the picture he drew long ago. Then right when the large auction was about to begin there was a will that was announced by the later father and the son. The one who buys the portrait of the fathers son inherits the rest of the art fortune. The stunned crowd didn't even get to bid because they had no interest in the sons portrait. And this is that testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. I have written these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.
