Proverbs of a 36 yr old man

Until the time came to fulfill his dreams, the Lord tested Joseph’s character. Sold as a slave, they bruised his feet with chains and placed his neck in an iron collar. The life of Joseph had started with great promise, but in the process of it coming true the word of the Lord tested him. God gave Joseph a vision for his life, but wanted him to realize that He needed God to fulfill it. Through providence God was able to shape his character for the position he was given. We all have been given the high calling of Christ to pursue spirit and life. In our own strength we cannot live this out. But because Jesus left us the example to suffer and bear our Cross. We can exceed our expectations and honor Christ through transformed characters modeled by his life. Sometimes burdens can feel like iron collar and chains over us. Let's give Jesus our burdens and take his yoke upon us. May we have the courage of Joseph that as we bear physical suffering, we can still trust in the promises of God made to us.
