Oh To Be Wise Meditations

I need the power of God to fight the internal battle of sin. To bear the persecution of a world that does not know Christ. I want to live a successful life, a respected life that the world would approve. I hate disappointing people and not living up to certain expectations. More importantly though, I must fear the LORD and serve Him faithfully with all my heart. Consider what great things He has done for us? Jesus gave me purpose and something to live for when I had nothing. His victorious life encourages me to want to live out mine, no matter how bad I have screwed it up. I lay down my dreams and comforts to serve Jesus. Instead of pursuing my own passions I am finding joy in the Lord's passion. And that is the power of Gospel, how it changes lives and gives you the power to know God. The gift of his undeserved grace is all you need. Christ power is strongest in our weakness, realizing your need for God in everything. As I receive the power of Christ gained through relationship, I am protected from moments of weakness. The liitle things I found so easily to sin at become a war within that Christ will win. Go to the throneroom of God with boldness, and when we you are there be humble. In weakness and fear, and with much trembling worship the Lord Jesus. He will lift you up and uphold you with his mighty hand. Lord, be gracious to us! We wait for you. Be our strength every morning and our salvation in time of trouble. The Lord gives me strength. He makes my feet as sure as those of a deer, and he helps me stand on the mountains.
