Oh To Be Wise Meditations

Puzzles are masterpieces that are waiting to be put together. Made from an image, the artist would then cut it perfectly to share its beauty and wisdom with someone else. Humanity is God's most amazing personal portrait. He started his work in the image of Adam and crowned it with Eve. They were to reproduces not only the beauty of physical humanity, but display the inner image of the great artist himself, God. The Lord paints so intricately, so passionately that all his artwork is holy and perfect. Only he truly knows the body and soul of humanity, how it fits and works together for his glory. Sin entered from the outside in and marred his perfect work of humanity. Mankind has been in pieces ever since the first sin went outside the lines of our design. What we have in front of us now is a heart of scribble that is in many pieces without God. The world has not figured out its origins and how to put together what has been broken for centuries. God sent his Son Jesus, born of women but painted with the Image of God that man had before sin. On the Cross he bore our sin and shame, restoring the beauty of what humanity was suppose to look like. A big red splat was painted on Christ that should have been on us. He was marred for our transgressions and bruised for our iniquities. When he rose again on the Third Day, he had a new body, new template for humanity to live through. In Jesus, we have a chance to be remade into the image of God. Not like Adam was before but now like Jesus who is our new Adam. Fully God and yet man, he is able to save the uttermost mess of a life in pieces. No matter how many pieces someone is, Jesus can clean up the inside and put back together any broken life. Live from the inside out and not from the outside in. I have to stop letting the things of the world transform me into its image. I need to be shapeless and formless being in the world but not of the world. I am but a puzzle in pieces trying to put back together what I have wrongly placed in my life. Sin broke me into a thousand pieces and Christ is bringing me back to my purpose. Every day I moved a piece here and there, always getting stuck wondering where does this fit this all fit? I have to allow Holy Spirit to renew my mind through relationship with Christ, so I can see a clearer vision and meaning for my life. Soon my puzzle will be perfect and I will see the Image of God in Christ reflecting in me. I am but a puzzle that has been recreated in the image of God, the image of Jesus. Meditate 2 Cor. 4:4
