Oh To Be Wise Meditations

I submit. Like a bride to her husband. I enter into spiritual relationship with Christ. I give my heart and desires to him, trusting in his love for me that is reflected on the Cross. I have faith that He lives and that he wants me to live for him. I show this honor of living for him by putting others first, submitting to one another in the fear of Christ. I also yield to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those that exist are instituted by God. Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s. In this life we have alot of submission to do. Lord, prepare us for this mission of self discovery. To understand how your love is better than life. How I could gain the whole world but lose my soul. Make my steps steady through your promise; don't let any sin dominate me. Yes, guide my steps by your word, so I will not be overcome by evil. I am urged by Holy Spirit to pray for all people, to intercede and bring petitions to the throneroom. Praying in this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This life is about submission and if we will choose to submit our lives to God. May the Lord give us the strength that he endured before and during the Cross. To say, Abba Father if you are willing, take this cup away from me. Yet not my will, but thine will be done. Here is my heart Lord. Here is my mind Lord. Here is my strength Lord. Use it for your glory and let me not waste it in sin and destruction. I submit.
