Oh To Be Wise Meditations

With maturity comes responsibilty. As we grow in our faith, it will demand responsibility. The state or fact of being accountable or to blame for something. God no longer is winking at your ignorance but is challenging you with carrying your cross. Will we just lay here and die in our sins or will we pursue the knowledge and life of Christ? It is a sin for the person who knows to do what is good and doesn't do it.

Jesus said to the Pharisees of their spiritual blindness, "If you were blind, you would not be guilty. But now that you claim to see, you will keep on being guilty." And so it is today with many people and their faith in God. Jesus came to judge the people of this world. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. People who do evil hate the light and won't come to the light, because it clearly shows what they have done. The high calling of Christ has exposed many and pride has kept people from repentance. Everything exposed by the light becomes visible, and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. The challenge of repentance and faith is looking into the mirror and seeing what Christ has exposed in our hearts. Dark places and spaces that are shamefull to even to mention, what the disobedient do in secret. Don’t be misled, you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. If you follow your selfish desires, you will harvest destruction, but if you follow the Spirit, you will harvest eternal life. We are maturing in our faith, lets realize we have to be more responsible in the way we live. Lets sow generously so we will reap generously in our faith, all to the glory of God.
