Proverbs of a 36 yr old man.

Dogs love to feed on the crumbs that fall off the masters table. Yes, they chew on dry bones but they prefer real meat. We as growing christians should prefer real meat of the word. Scripture that challenges and motivates us to real change in our lives. Milk is not solid enough to sustain us and grow our faith.

Like a fool doing some foolish thing a second time is like a dog going back to its vomit. We will keep returning to our vomit if our daily food is not nourishing us. For you are a slave to whatever controls you. And when people escape from the wickedness of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and then get tangled up and enslaved by sin again, they are worse off than before. We should as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it we may grow up to salvation. But everyone who lives on milk is still a baby and does not yet know the difference between right and wrong. Solid food is for the mature, let's allow the living word to train us to know good from evil. So our faith can be full with no need to return to our milky vomit.
