Oh To Be Wise Meditations
At our core we have the image of God. We express this more than anything else on this Earth that God has created. Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable; if there is any moral excellence and if there is any praise, it reflects the image of God. This is a complex yet beautiful imagery of how God is seen and known in this sinful world. When righteousness and peace are in order the character of God is reflected in his creatures, even in the environment. The deer that pants for water is like a thirsty soul that yearns for Gods presence. The trees dig deep there roots for growth, just like a child of God digs deep in relationship with Christ for growth and perspective. The shaking of hands and agreeing between two or more parties reflects at its core the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Everything about us as humans reflects the image of God. Yes, even now Christ is in the form of a human and became one of us. He is our example to truly reflect the Image of God throughout all the Earth. Evil represents itself in many different ways and at it's core reflects the enemy and his desires. In this sinful world many are living in a tarnished image of God that is compromised by sin. No one is perfect but God. But daily those trusting in Christ are being purified from a rusty coin kind of life. Transformed day by day into a shiny reflection of God's glory and image. Let us not rust out our lives in sin and death. But passionately pursue to restore God's pure image in this world as well as in our hearts and minds. Lord, I know you are making all things new. Start with your image in me so that everything I do reflects your character and essence. Only by the power of Holy Spirit in me can your glory be seen in me. I am your quarter and you are my head's and my tails. May the simple things I do like laughter and kindness remind people of your love and devotion to us, and to this world. Meditate James 3:9Â
