Oh To Be Wise Meditations

Prisoners of spiritual war. It is the year 2019, and if you ask a theologian over 6,000 years have passed since the human exile from the Garden of Eden. Adam and Eve the first humans did not stay within the limits of their proper authority, but abandoned their own dwelling place. Setting life on earth a frenzy as sin and death have reigned more and more through each passing generation. Every human born into this world is born a slave to sin, a prisoner of spiritual war. What war is this? This war started before humans were on earth, before anything was put into motion, war was in heaven. Jesus witnessed Satan fall from heaven like lightning as his treason cause him to lose his position in heaven. Bringing down a third of the angels with him, choosing to live against God than for him. Rather than destroying the Devil that very instant, he allowed him to challenge God and his justice. On the earth is where this battle of good and evil carried over from heaven. Where innoncent humanity was enticed by the Serpent of Old and became prisoners of spiritual war. What was a simple fruit of disobedience became literally chains of sin and death over every human born after the fall. God created everything, and in everything he has called it good. Even here on earth after the sixth day of creation, he rested and called everything he has made good. His name, his character, his law is on the line and Satan is out to prove his claims against God. The whole world lies in the power of the evil one. He hides in the background playing devils advocate to everything that happens to humanity in this life. In reality this world has been subjected to the judgment that is coming to the enemy for his treason and hijacking of Gods people on earth. In Adam and Eve their were to be children born knowing who their Heavenly Father is. But instead they are born a slave to the prince of this world. Humanity continues to fight to live even though they know they will die. Its in their spirit to want to live forever, to be free from the prison of this world and live in truth. What is truth? That is what humanity is asking everyday of their existence. And when we see the coldness of peoples hearts, this is when truth becomes alive in thin air. Evil has a way showing its true colors, pointing to the true tryant of this world which is the Devil and his demons. Sin and death has defaced them. They once sat at the face of God, and now sit with rebellious humans torturing the very images of God on earth. Destroying earthly lives and piling up a judgment that is reserved in holy fire. Jesus came to this world to set the captives free. Born of a woman, God became flesh to destroy the works of the Devil. In his plan and in his ways Christ overcame evil with good. On that cross Christ freed himself from the power of the spiritual rulers and authorities; he made a public spectacle of them by leading them as captives in his victory procession. When he ascended on high after his ressurection from death, he led captives into captivity and gave gifts to people. Jesus took the keys of death and life and defeated the enemy of our souls for humanity. He purchased with his own blood the freedom that humanity so desperately needed. The Lord's Spirit has come to tell the good news to the poor. The Lord has come to announce freedom for prisoners,to give sight to the blind, to free everyone who suffers, This is the year the Lord has chosen. It is the year 2019, and its over 6,000 years in the making if you ask a theologian. It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery. Live free and even though we must die as slaves as apart of the judgment of this world. We will be ressurected as kings and queens of the Kingdom of God. Take comfort in knowing Christ died a sinners death but rose for a Kings anugeration. Live for him now even in chains of this world. You will experience true freedom not of this world but from heaven itself. Meditate Rom. 8:19
