Oh To Be Wise Meditations

Easily broken is the person who forgets you Lord. Such a hopeless future for those who turn away from you oh God. They take hold of things and fall because their ways are flimsy. Like leaning on a spiders web to hold your fall is a life trusting in the ways of man. Humanity withers away like grass, strong one day and dried up the next. We need springs of hope to make it daily in this life. If not, life slips away slowly leaving dried up hearts and minds. Sinful people are like plants with spreading roots and plenty of sun and water. They wrap their roots tightly around rocks instead of rich soil of the earth. Being pulled up easily having no place to stand on, their hope is in pieces. Those who hope in you Lord trust in your powerful strength. You hear and answer our prayers according to your will. Even though we do not see your face we can feel the warmth of your embrace in our hearts. Our sins were a roadblock between us and God. Jesus you removed our sins as far as the east from the west so we can be in your presence. We have a hope that is not easily broken but is shaped by our faith in Christ. The hope of the righteous is gladness, But the expectation of the wicked perishes. The hope of the godless dies, their confidence shattered because the spider web they built their life on fell through. Laying their trapped in their own webs they spun, comes the spider of old to deliver its deadly final poison. Lord Jesus my hope is in you. Please keep me from being easily broken. Meditate Prov. 11:7
