Oh To Be Wise Meditations

Jesus told Peter, "I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. You that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it." From that time on Jesus began to tell his disciples plainly that it was necessary for him to go to Jerusalem, and that he would suffer many terrible things at the hands of the elders, the leading priests, and the teachers of religious law. He would be killed, but on the third day he would be raised from the dead. And now look, He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. Jesus was handed over by God’s set plan and foreknowledge, and by the hands of the lawless was put to death being nailed to a cross. But God raised Him from the dead, releasing Him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for Him to be held in its clutches. Lord, you have made known to me the paths of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence.' I trust in your plan of salvation for me. and I will be vindicated when I see your face. Yes, when I awake, I will be satisfied with seeing your likeness. Ps. 140:13
