Oh To Be Wise Meditations

“Return, O faithless children, and I will heal your faithlessness.” “Here we are. We come to You, for You are the LORD our God. I will tell them, "Come back, and I will cure you of your unfaithfulness." They will answer, "We will come back, because you are the LORD our God. As surely as I live, says the Sovereign LORD, I take no pleasure in the death of wicked people. I only want them to turn from their wicked ways so they can live. Turn! Turn from your wickedness, O people of Israel! Why should you die? Let the wicked man forsake his own way and the unrighteous man his own thoughts; let him return to the LORD, that He may have compassion, and to our God, for He will freely pardon. Though the mountains may be removed and the hills may be shaken, My loving devotion will not depart from you, and My covenant of peace will not be broken," says the LORD, who has compassion on you. The LORD forgives our sins, heals us when we are sick, and protects us from death. His kindness and love are a crown on our heads. For surely You, O LORD, bless the righteous; You surround them with the shield of your favor. Let all that I am praise the LORD; may I never forget the good things he does for me. Some of you had foolishly committed a lot of sins and were in terrible pain. The very thought of food was disgusting to you,and you were almost dead. You were in serious trouble, but you prayed to the LORD, and he rescued you. By the power of his own word, he healed you and saved you from destruction. Meditate Joel 2:12
