Proverbs of a 37 yr old man
A violent storm. A violent storm is coming in the distance. The wind is picking up and the clouds are starting to gather. Jesus says, "If the sky is red in the evening, you say the weather will be good. And early in the morning you say, 'It is going to rain, because the sky is dark and overcast.' You can predict the weather by looking at the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs concerning these times! Rain is beginning to pour down and ocean waters are swirling all around you. Waves are crashing and lightning is flashing. The thunder of trial has begun. It's time you hunker down in Christ. Stop trying to abandon ship, stop trying to the control the sails, don't let your heart start to fail you because of fear. Drowning in despair and sorrow we start to remove water on our own. Bucket after bucket we wear ourselves out, meanwhile still no word from God. Doubt begins to creep, Lord will I perish? But remember Christ's rebuke of the waves and the peace he gives when he stills the seas. Oh you of little faith, hunker down near the Savior. Find your rest in the promises of God in Christ. Jesus at a Kingly Rest with the government on his shoulders. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Rest on his chest awhile, for he is in the boat of trial with you. He will awaken you from his peace that surpasses understanding, with a thunderous voice as loud as the trial your going through. Praise God, you will experience the personal power of knowing Jesus, when you see him firsthand still the violent storms of your life. Peace be still and know Jesus is Lord over every trial and tribulation.
