Oh To Be Wise Meditations

Lord, forgiveness is a process I must go through, I understand that now. Its just like death which is a forgiveness we all must accept. We must cry it out, and when ready, seek life after death in Christ. What does it mean to be forgiven of my sins? What if I struggle with sin, is my forgiveness still valid? Jesus, your death on the Cross was a process. You suffered a lot absorbing the wrath of sin's punishment. You could have had angels come and spare you from false accusations against you. You could have come down from the Cross and not experienced death. But you stuck through it being faithful to the Father. And when you woke up from the grave in three days, you forgave those who betrayed you. I see a pattern that you want us to imitate from your life. I am forgiven so that I can carry my cross. I am free so I can submit to the will of God for my life. And I am to walk in the newness of life forgiving those who have sinned against me. Again, forgiveness is a process and pain and suffering is involved. The good news, The Gospel is that I have been forgiven by the Cross of Christ. Its the beginning of new life, new way of thinking, and new truth to live in. LORD you say to me, “Come now, and let us reason together, though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool. Forgiveness is an opportunity for redemption, what sin and death has done to me I can redeem through the spirit and life Jesus is giving me. Its more than the just the words I'm sorry. Its a repentance of real change done through the power of God in my life. My friends, the message is that Jesus can forgive your sins! The Law of Moses could not set you free from all your sins. But everyone who has faith in Jesus is set free. Forgiveness works through faith and not works. We could never pay back the debt we owe to each other, to society, and to God. By faith we know God can recompense and make all things work together for our good. Trust in the process of salvation, its Gods plan of redemption for guilty souls. Meditate Ps. 103:10
