Oh To Be Wise Meditations
A wise child brings joy to his father. Ever see a proud father say, "Hey that's my child right there. He looks just like me." He is so proud of his image being reflected from his child. He gave his name and ability, his wisdom and guidance. Oh how beautiful is our proud heavenly Fathers face when He sees us reflect his holy nature. A foolish child brings pain to his mother. Ever hear a woman go into labor? The pain and anguish can bring tears to anyone's eyes. I imagine that pain when a child crushes a mothers heart. Children are birthed in painful love and the foolishness they do reminds the mother of that labor experience. God in Christ birthed a new humanity. Through Christ's pain and anguish many people have been born again. There are those that foolishly chose sin over God. That pain and anguish Jesus remembers as he looks at his nail scarred hands. For he is willing that none should perish, but that all should repent and have eternal life. The father of godly children has cause for joy. What a pleasure to have children who are wise. Father in heaven, thank you for being Abba. May the meditation of my hearts and the words of my mouth be pleasing to you. I want you to be feel proud of me like you felt with Job. Your faithful child that loves you more than life itself. Love you Abba.
