Oh To Be Wise Meditations

Live forever. In the twinkling of the eye we will live forever. Death is but a moment but eternal life is forever. And we know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us understanding so that we can know the true God. And now we live in fellowship with the true God because we live in fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the only true God, and he is eternal life. This is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is found in his Son. Whoever has the Son has this life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. All of us have faith in the Son of God, and this message has been written down for us to let us know we have eternal life. Jesus is the bread that came down from heaven, not like the bread that our ancestors ate, and died. Whoever feeds on this bread will live forever. We will live forever because of the life of Jesus given to us. Those who drink the water that Jesus will give them will never be thirsty again. The water that He will give them will become in them a spring which will provide them with life-giving water and give them eternal life. Whoever believes in Me, as the Scripture has said: Streams of living water will flow from within him. Lord, your discipline is good, for it leads to life and health. You restore my health and allow me to live! I will not die; instead, I will live to tell what the LORD has done. Truly, truly, I tell you, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not come under judgment. Indeed, he has crossed over from death to life. I tell you for certain the time will come, and it is already here, when all of the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God. And those who listen to it will live! The Father has the power to give life, and he has given that same power to the Son. And he has given his Son the right to judge everyone, because he is the Son of Man. Don’t be so surprised! Indeed, the time is coming when all the dead in their graves will hear the voice of God’s Son, and they will rise again. Those who have done good will rise to experience eternal life, and those who have continued in evil will rise to experience judgment.
