Oh To Be Wise Meditations
You can build muscle but it takes heart to build real strength. Real strength that can hold the heaviest of burdens. Real strength that can overcome guilt and shame. The outward muscle is necessary for sculpting and shaping. Honing in on target areas to transform whats on the inside. Building muscle in the natural sense takes a lot of work and dedication. How much more work is needed to build in the spiritual sense of our mind. We need heart work, we need heart change that comes from relationship with Christ. Sin is always working within our members as well as in our spirit. But through Jesus God can use the suffering of this world for our good. He can build character through the mistakes we have made. He can tone the heart to withstand the trials of this world. We are in need of real strength daily to handle sin's temptation and doubt. The LORD is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving. Lets flex our heart muscles as we exhale praise to our LORD and Savior. Making sure we take care of our spirit the way we take care of our body. Better yet taking care of our body the way we take care of our spirit. My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever.
