Oh To Be Wise Meditations

All of us do many wrong things and make many mistakes. But if you can control your tongue and not stumble into mumble. That person has actually matured in faith. Able to control and bridle the whole body with that little tongue. If kept perfect it is able to control your whole being. By watching your tongue and keeping your mouth shut you will stay out of trouble. An evil man is trapped by his rebellious speech, but a righteous man escapes from trouble. There is a godliness with out the power of God and I think it starts mainly with the tongue. Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless. For all that is secret will eventually be brought into the open, and everything that is concealed will be brought to light and made known to all. Therefore consider carefully how you listen. Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what they think they have will be taken from them. LORD, help me to listen rather than speak rashly. Listening to the Spirit of Christ as I speak as one under the authority of Jesus.
