Oh To Be Wise Meditations

Made to love you LORD. Is that why I get all giddy inside when your presence is near? The love of this world leaves me so empty after indulging in it. Its a love that has never satisfied, and is always looking to take. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever. Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. The love that Jesus operates in is different from the world. I have to be careful to learn how to walk in love with God and man. Jesus has come to show us how to love properly and not follow path of hate and destruction. For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Faith, hope and love are virtues that God made for us to live from. The world has other plans for our hearts and lives, but part of being recreation in Christ is building our love for God. Originally humanity was made to worship God, but because of sin we did not look for God but followed our own desires. Jesus has restored humanity in his image through the power of his love. Yes, his love in us is giving us the power to know him. We are being made to love righteousness, to love God. Though sin has corrupted the heart of man, Jesus is renewing the hearts of man. You start to feel God's presence more when you learn to walk in love. You start to have faith and hope as you trust in Jesus for salvation. Thank you Jesus for the working power of your love in my life. All I knew was sin and death but now your love has made me love righteousness and truth, which is you oh God.
