Oh To Be Wise Meditations
We have resurrection power. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in us. Christ lives within us, so even though our bodies will die because of sin, the Spirit gives us life because we have been made right with God. We are not controlled by our sinful nature. We are controlled by the Spirit if we have the Spirit of God living in us. God raised Jesus to life! God's Spirit now lives in us, and he will raise us to life by his Spirit.
The Spirit gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words Jesus has spoken to us are spirit and they are life. Everything about Jesus is about resurrections power! The apostle Peter said to his fellow Israelites in the book of Acts, "Listen to what I have to say about Jesus from Nazareth. God proved he sent Jesus to you by having him work miracles, wonders, and signs. All of you know this. God had already planned and decided that Jesus would be handed over to you. So you took him and had evil men put him to death on a cross. But God set him free from death and raised him to life. Death could not hold him in its power". Death cannot hold us from the promises of God. We must live each daily in the resurrections power Christ provides through relationship with Him.
