Oh To Be Wise Meditations
LORD, why do I clean the outside of the cup and of the dish, but inside I am full of greed and wickedness. I am so careful to look holy to those around me but who I am on the inside matters to you. What I think about, what I feel about something, and what I dwell upon matters to you. I need to have a clean heart life so that the outside even shines brighter. My pride shines the outside while leaving the inside free of your Holy Spirit scrubbing. Help me to care about the person I am inside, what are my values and what are mistakes can I correct that I have caused? Not go around and number my enemies but actually make peace with them as much as humanly possible. My heart before you oh God is what matters. You do not like hypocrisy and judgmental spirits. You desire truth in my inmost being, even in my thoughts and prayers it matters to you.
