Oh To Be Wise Meditations

It is just like sinful humanity to make laws that contradict each other. To bring justice to one side and bring injustice to another. That is why the close we are to Gods laws and interpretation the better we are for it. Look at King Darius in Babylon. He was influenced by his political leaders to pass a law that would honor him not just King, but as God! Demanding worship and obedience that would incriminate a lot of innocent people. They were innocent before this law was passed, now because of bad law and political persuasion people we to be sentenced. The Prophet Daniel was a high official and it cost him even his place in society. Thrown in a lions den which is basically capital punishment, all because of again bad law. Gods law and word is perfect, no contradiction and evil within its amendments. But the more humanity tries to peel away from it there own reasoning the more a society, a culture will do right what is in there own eyes. Without Jesus the Living Word of God the law would destroy us. For all have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God. But the gift of God is eternal life for those who find it. And this is in the knowledge and growing relationship with Christ. Only Jesus can interpret the law of God properly and speak it correctly to humanity through Holy Spirit. Think about this, since the time of Christ knowledge has increased all over the world. I contribute it to the Spirit of God inspiring people to do amazing things. But as usually sin in our hearts has marred the things of God that he meant for God. And evil things have come from corrupted knowledge. There is so much knowledge now in the world that we are not morally capable to handle it apart from God. Great peace have those who love the law of God; nothing can make them stumble. We know that everything in the Law was written for those who are under its power. The Law says these things to stop anyone from making excuses and to let God show that the whole world is guilty. But now God has shown us a way to be made right with him without keeping the requirements of the law, as was promised in the writings of Moses and the prophets long ago. We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are. For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past, for he was looking ahead and including them in what he would do in this present time. God did this to demonstrate his righteousness, for he himself is fair and just, and he makes sinners right in his sight when they believe in Jesus. Can we boast, then, that we have done anything to be accepted by God? No, because our acquittal is not based on obeying the law. It is based on faith. I close with this: We are guilty and imperfect people in need of Gods grace in a sinful world. Jesus holds all things together and he is the miracle keeping nations accountable. He will never be mocked or proven wrong in his Gospel to the world. The Kingdom of God is hand. May we as Christians be in this world but not of this world. Living for truths of Gods nearing and already here Kingdom. This is true justice and mercy to kneel at the sword, the word, Jesus Christ our LORD Savior.
