Oh To Be Wise Meditations

Do this exercise to explain the human heart better? Close your fist. If we live life with a closed fist how will others reach out and grab our kindness? Our hearts are so closed fist that the blessings of Christs are held in our one buried talent. Now open your hand. This does not mean that we live open handed and give our pearls to be trampled by pigs. No, let us not use our freedom to allow sin to reign even in our mortal bodies. We need Gods guidance, when to open our hearts and when to close our hearts to sin and evil. The world would have us open our hands and take everything from us in the name of false humility. And as well make us close our fist to the poor and needy, lifting a fist to God questioning his sovereignty. Everything we have comes from the hand of God. May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us-- yes, establish the work of our hands. Let us, your servants, see you work again; let our children see your glory. The glory of Jesus!
