Oh To Be Wise Meditations

The setting sun. Our lives are but a rising and setting sun. With noonday as our greatest joy and evening as our greatest sadness. Remember him before the light of the sun, moon, and stars is dim to your old eyes, and rain clouds continually darken your sky. He is the LORD, and there is no other; apart from Him there is no God. He will strengthen you, though you have not acknowledged Him, so that from the rising of the sun to the place of its setting people may know there is none besides Him. I am the LORD, and there is no other. I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster; I, the LORD, do all these things. Tell the heavens to send down justice like showers of rain. Prepare the earth for my saving power to sprout and produce justice that I, the LORD, create. The sun rises and the sun sets, and hurries back to where it rises. Generations come and generations go, but the earth remains forever. Light is sweet; how pleasant to see a new day dawning. A new day is coming after our setting sun, we have new life found only in Christ.
