Oh To Be Wise Meditations

Lord, your love is better than life itself. The problem is I am selfish and self centered only caring about my wants and desires throughout the day. I need to know the power of Christ's Resurrection. I need to share in the fellowship of his suffering, becoming like him through his death. The love God has for us we need to richly apply into our lives and relationships. Without faith it is impossible to please God. But without love it is impossible to have faith. Love never fails because it comes from God alone and it bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. It was love that brought Jesus to the Cross, and it is our faith in his love that will lead us to eternal life. I need to love the Lord my God with all my heart and with all my soul and with all my mind and with all my strength. Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love. Though you have faith and hope if you neglect the greatest of all virtues, love found in Christ, then you have gained nothing. Knowing Jesus as Lord and Savior is true love come to life.
