Oh To Be Wise Meditations

Been listening to this song Sparrows by Corey Asbury for a couple weeks now and wanted to share with you. Took some of the words out that really stood out from it to me. Our God wants to father us and love us. Though it seems like we are distant from Him at times, He is still taking good care of us. Though humanity because of disobedience has made there own bed and have to lie in it. God does not leave us to suffer alone. He must be just but He is merciful, its in his nature. God in Christ has laid in our own bed with us, bearing the consequence of sin and death. For we know that all creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. And we believers also groan, even though we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory, for we long for our bodies to be released from sin and suffering. We, too, wait with eager hope for the day when God will give us our full rights as his adopted children, including the new bodies he has promised us. The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him. For he laid the earth’s foundation on the seas and built it on the ocean depths. There is a groaning for the creation to meet its Maker. The Holy Spirit has been given to us as a foretaste of things to come, all things new. Lets choose today to live under the Sovereignty of God in his plan of salvation. He talks good care of his people and all of his creation, even in the times of trouble and suffering.

The sparrow's not worried about tomorrow

Or the troubles to come The lily's not thinking about the seasons The drought or the flood The tree that's planted by the water Isn't phased by the fire So why should I be? The sun's not worried about the winter 'Cause soon it will pass The light's not thinking about the darkness Or the shadow it cast A heart that's planted in forgiveness Doesn't dwell in the past So why should I be? The LORD takes good care of me He knows what I need before I even ask a thing And He holds me in his hands With a kindness that never ends I'm carried in His love, no matter what the future brings Yes, The LORD takes good care of me.
