Oh To Be Wise Meditations
Without education there is no guarantee of success. I heard that statement recently and is that not true? Many people rely on intuition and guts, or just don't try at all. A lot of things in life are handed to us and need maintaining. While others only dream of having just an opportunity. What a gift though it is to be educated. To know more than just surface level but actually have experience and training. There is no guarantee of success in anything we do, but the odds favor the educated. A wise person is hungry for knowledge, while the fool feeds on trash. Seek wisdom more than money, seek purpose more than stature, and seek learning more than success. Success comes and goes like chasing the wind. A more sure thing is wisdom. Wisdom is a shelter as money is a shelter, but the advantage of knowledge is this: Wisdom preserves those who have it. Being educated is like eating honey, for it is good, and the honeycomb is sweet to the taste. Wisdom is like honey for your life--if you find it, your future is bright. It is senseless to pay to educate a fool, since he has no heart for learning. The mind of a person who has understanding acquires knowledge. The ears of wise people seek knowledge.
