Oh To Be Wise Meditations
Our LORD, we belong to you. We tell you what worries us, and you won't let us fall. Yes, we cast our burdens upon you and you sustain us; You will never let the righteous be shaken. Though we may fall we will not be overwhelmed, because the LORD supports us with his hand. Surely God is my help; the Lord is the one who sustains me. For the arms of the wicked will be broken, but the LORD upholds the righteous. Think about it, we are not self contained individual units of existence. We are not solely responsible for our own welling being, we are creatures dependent upon our God for everything. The sooner we realize this, the sooner we will find the peace that we desires. God is a good God. He will not lead us through the troubles of life just for them to overcome us. No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. My dear friends, stand firm and don't be shaken. Always keep busy working for the Lord. You know that everything you do for him is worthwhile. Make every effort to be found at peace—spotless and blameless in His sight. Be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you. Being sure that your behavior reflects and confirms your relationship with God. For by doing these things, actively developing these virtues, you will never stumble in your spiritual growth and will live a life that leads others away from sin. Then God will give you a grand entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
