Oh To Be Wise Meditations

I wish I could say, but let me write it down. I know how you feel LORD. Sometimes face to face doesn't due justice. Words stand out more and have meaning, have purpose. When I write I feel your pleasure within me. I am sure that it was the same way for you when the books of the bible were written over time. So many people you used from all walks of life to create your inspired word here on earth. The Holy Spirit hovered over them and you took pleasure in your words being written down. In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. But it wasn't just meant to be written on paper but on our hearts. When we truly see you face to face what a joy to see the Living Word before us. Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely. Like Moses we will see you Jesus face to face clearly. No more riddles and parables, or words that bring comfort and joy. You will be a living message in a bottle coming down from heaven to earth to be read by all mankind. John the Baptist when he saw Jesus he said, Look there, the lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world. When we see Jesus coming in the clouds we will say, look there the Living Word of God in the flesh before our eyes! Then I saw heaven opened, and a white horse was standing there. Its rider was named Faithful and True, for he judges fairly and wages a righteous war. His eyes were like flames of fire, and on his head were many crowns. A name was written on him that no one understood except himself. He wore a robe dipped in blood, and his title was the Word of God. The armies of heaven, dressed in the finest of pure white linen, followed him on white horses. From his mouth came a sharp sword to strike down the nations. He will rule them with an iron rod. He will release the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty, like juice flowing from a winepress. On his robe at his thigh was written this title: King of all kings and Lord of all lords.
