Oh To Be Wise Meditations

The LORD is a protecting and guiding light. If we live in the light as he is in the light. You will be secure, because there is hope; you will look about you and take your rest in safety.

You will lie down unafraid, and many will look to you for help. But the eyes of the wicked will fail, and escape will elude them; their hope will become a dying gasp. The witless can no more become wise than a wild donkey’s colt can be born human. Yet if you devote your heart to him and stretch out your hands to him, and give up your sins, even those you do in secret. Then your face will brighten with innocence. You will be strong and free of fear. You will surely forget your trouble, recalling it only as waters gone by. Your life will be brighter than the noonday. Even darkness will be as bright as morning. Let those who love the LORD hate evil, for he guards the lives of his faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked. Light shines on the righteous and joy on the upright in heart. Those who look to Him are radiant with joy; their faces shall never be ashamed. You, LORD, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light.
