Oh To Be Wise Meditations

There is so much potential in the seed of Gods living word. Jesus said, “l tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat is planted in the soil and dies, it remains alone. But its death will produce many new kernels—a plentiful harvest of new lives.” Jesus was born under the law and fulfilled all righteousness living a sinless life. The living word of God could not transform sinful humanity. It actually birthed sin in them though the commandment was holy and good. That is when Jesus poured out his Spirit for all who choose to believe in him. For you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God. For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. Again, there is so potential in the Living Word of God that we should expect radically changed lives. Lives where the full and unbridled potential of the living word of God is actualized and embodied, by Spirit led obedience, generosity, and maturity. Yes, when I grow in my relationship with Christ the living word of God begins to transform me and not birth sin in me. It reaps spirit and life in me, giving me a passion to live out Gods word. Instead of just trying to be a better version of myself, I am actually becoming the seed that Jesus planted on the Cross. His resurrected life is resurrecting my dead life of sin. Jesus embodied the Living Word of God so that we would not seek our own perfection, which we could never attain. But to seek His Perfection planted for us to attain and bear his image before God and man. Amazing how much potential Jesus has packed in the seed of his living word in us.
