Oh To Be Wise Meditations

LORD, obeying your instructions brings as much happiness as being rich. Yes, I rejoice in your word like one who discovers a great treasure. Obedience brings me such satisfaction because I know you would rather have my obedience than sacrifice. I feels good to please you and not have to worry about pleasing people. Praise the LORD. Blessed are those who fear the LORD, who find great delight in his commands. The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes. They will always be my most prized possession and my source of joy. I hear you say Jesus, now if you will obey me and keep my covenant, you will be my own special treasure from among all the peoples on earth; for all the earth belongs to me. You gave yourself to rescue us from everything evil and to make our hearts pure. You wanted us to be your own people and to be eager to do right. We treasure you the Living Word in our hearts. And you Jesus treasure us with your presence renewing us daily.
