Oh To Be Wise Meditations

We are the only creatures on earth that are naked and ashamed. Everything else in creation has no concept of that, it is only aware of the sorrow and pain humanity brings. Against its will, all creation was subjected to God’s curse. But with eager hope, the creation looks forward to the day when it will join God’s children in glorious freedom from death and decay. For we know that all creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. Naked and ashamed we need to cover ourselves lest our sins destroy us inside and out. Yet humanity is prideful in their ways and bear there nakedness of sin before God unashamed. At least Adam and Eve tried to cover themselves. Generation after generation sin in peoples hearts becomes more bolder and bolder. Jesus has come to cover our shame and guilt. And gives us peace to walk before the light of heaven. The Spirit makes us sure about what we will be in the future. But now we groan silently, while we wait for God to show that we are his children. This means that our bodies will also be set free.
