Oh To Be Wise Meditations
And God blessed them granting them certain authority] and said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subjugate it putting it under your power; and rule over dominate the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and every living thing that moves upon the earth.” So God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of the entire earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you; and to all the animals on the earth and to every bird of the air and to everything that moves on the ground, to everything in which there is the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food”; and it was so because He commanded it. God gave humanity the ability to live and move and have their being. To subdue the wild earth and care for the things which He has made. God inspires creativity and expansion in a perfect world. Imagine what God can do through us in a broken sinful world. How can motivate his redeemed to work along side him in restoring broken societies and broken lives. The fearful see a huge disaster and give up hope. But the godly start rebuilding brick by brick what has been torn down. The wicked run away when no one is chasing them, but the godly are as bold as lions. This passion in there hearts comes from their purpose from before the world began. For we know that all creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. And we believers also groan, even though we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory, for we long for our bodies to be released from sin and suffering. We, too, wait with eager hope for the day when God will give us our full rights as his adopted children, including the new bodies he has promised us. We were given this hope when we were saved. (If we already have something, we don’t need to hope for it. But if we look forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently.) So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea. Let the oceans roar and foam. Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge! There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. That river of life lives in us in a dry and weary world. Pour out your gifts and serve King Jesus.
